SYNOPSIS
Exploring a powerful and frightening subject, this opera is also a lyrical love story.
The Blank Canvas tells how a celebrated painter fears that her hallucinations are
a sign of madness,but has to confront the fact that they are caused by Charles Bonnet Syndrome.
She is going blind.
Three singers represent Lucy, her husband Peter and her agent Gio at different periods in their lives,
supported by an inventive score for piano, flute and vibraphone.
